The duo MLŽI works with a wide range of expressive tools, valuing both radical mildness and aggressive assertiveness. Their music incorporates elements of jazz tradition, African and Brazilian beats, noise, post-punk, and Serbian folk music, all flowing seamlessly through free improvisation.

“Tiho Noći”, poem by Jovan Jovanović Zmaj
Luan Gonçalves – bass
Juraj Mišejka – production
‘Tiho Noći’ is based on a poem by Serbian poet Jovan Jovanović Zmaj (1833-1904), who’s best known for his children’s poetry. His nursery rhymes are part of the Serbian national consciousness and people sing them to their children without knowing who wrote them. Jovanović also translated the works of some of the great poets, such as Russians Lermontov and Pushkin, Germans Goethe and Heine, and the American Longfellow.
